What is Bipolar II Disorder?

Bipolar II disorder is characterized by the occurrence of at least one Major Depressive Episode and at least one Hypomanic Episode. If the patient has ever experienced a full-blown Manic Episode, Bipolar II disorder is ruled out in favor of Bipolar I disorder.
